Here There Be Dragons (Emiya, Rating pending.)

Glow watched as the Dragon moved to stand. He too moved to rise up and stood with ease. Dusting the cloak he wore off of all the debris Glow then followed the dragons lead. He had weapons, but he knew they were inside or sonewhere else. He would be able to call upon them the second they would encounter game. As lackluster as the journey was now, Glow was certain with time things would solidify with entertainment. But at current he looked through the forest looking for prey. It would need to be a hefty amount to satisfy a dragon as well as himself. Gluttony was not a Sin Glow indulged in, therefore he ate controled amounts of substance.

The dragon flopped on to his side. He was fully capable of hunting himself, or he would be if he wasn't so tired. He closed his eyes and tried to take a nap.

In his dream he was laying on a grass covered hill, his gaze trained on a butterfly that was floating on the wind! He reached out to run a hand along one of it's delicate wings. It was a deep yellow color and he found it fascinating, something startled the butterfly however and it flew away. He frowned, but then noticed his hand, looked like a normal hand. Of a regular human, but when had it not? The long blue hair pulled back into a ponytail he shook his head. He had never not been human right? What was making that thought even cross his mind at all? He walked down the hill, feeling something lick at his foot, looking down he saw a grey hound with shaggy fur. He reached to pet it...

He woke up with a jump, the thing that was licking his foot was no hound, it was not even licking his foot. What it was had no tongue with which to lick. It was a large leaf, dragged down on a tree branch by his tail. He scoffed and released it. "Well now, that was strange." He sat up and grumbled, his head hurt. That's what he got for sleeping while he was so horribly hot. He waited for Glow to return, huffing a bit as he laid down, tail flicking against the air.

Glow summoned a pulse gun with enhanced Mana rounds. The gun had a custom silencer. No scope was needed as his eyes had beyond Human excel vision. Because of this his eyes were like a camera. It could zoom in and focus on anything. Where exactly he was getting his Mana from was a mystery. Walking with ease through the brush he looked around. It was a odd looking wild boar that walked to a cool shaded muddy hole. The boar rolled down into the moist dirt that cooled off it's body from the intense heat. Glow aimed his gun which manifested into a long bow, an arrow of odd steel like matrial was like a bone. Once placed against the string the strain of the arrow caused it to change form. A long bone like arrow was aimed then with ease his wrist let up and his fingers released the arrow to shoot into the boars side.

Shock hit the beast as did pain! A keen squealing cry emitted from it. The boar scrambled to get up out of the slippery mud hole. Its hoof caught in a dried log, crushing it underneath it's weight. Running at full speed the boar took off deeper into the forest! Glow cursed as he chased it down. "Damn."

Running after it he drew another mana arrow. This time the arrow head was thinner and sharper. At the end was a iron hook and the blade was serated. Glow shot again but this time the arrow became caught in the boars leg muscle! Blood streamed from the Boar as Glow wrapped his hands around the cord. As the boar pulled trying to free itself, Glow yanked back causing his hands to be cut and bleed. He paid the pain no mind as hus arms flexed while he dragged the kicking and screaming boar to him. The dark muscles on Glow only seemed to glisten as sweat had formed on his dark flesh.

"Come on, just let it happen..."

Glow walked over to the boar that had tangled itself up. He removed both arrows and took out a blade. He slashed the beasts neck and then drsgged it back to Dragon. Once there he dropped the heavy dead pig at the Dragons clawec feet.

"There, cant let the Wife starve now, can I?" He had not even noticed he had said that.

He was looking at the leaves in the tree, trying to find some form of thing he could probably shake out of it. He gave up after a while and laid his head back down. He could hear the screams of a boar in the distance. Hunger cut through him like a claw to the chest. He rolled into his back and looked at the sky, still thinking about the dream he'd had. When had he looked like that? When was he ever in a place like that? Where had that dog come from? He shrugged it all away as he set his head down again. He watched the butterflies with a bit more observations on his mind. His wandering eyes caught hold of something interesting. He saw Glow walking through the woods, dragging something behind himself. He sat up seeing as it was a boar."Good work", he complimented as he reached to touch it. He spat flame into a firepit he had dug earlier and placed the boar on a spit made of wood from the forest.

Glow looked at him set up the boar. He tossed a small pouch to the dragon. It held seasons to flavor the meat being cooked. Smiling he moved to a small pond and washed the blood off his cut hands and off his shoulders where he had carried the boar. He then cupped his hands and drank the water. His mouth was very dry and tasteless. It was this body, it lacked many things and one of them was the sense of taste. At times he could taste things, but he hoped these were one of those times. Once all cleaned up he sat down next to Dragon. His golden eyes watched the flames dance under their meal.

The dragon watched as the meat cooked. He looked at Glow with a smile. "I'm a good cook!" he tended to the flames with his tail as he hummed quietly. He hadn't heard the remark from earlier but if he had he likely would have turned red at the words. He was very intune with the emotions of other people recently. Had been like that since the other servants he had met all went off somewhere else with their masters. He didn't have a master and he sometimes wondered what having one would be like. His eyes flicked to the meat and when it was well roasted, he pulled it off the flames and onto a large piece of wood he'd cut from a tree.

"Did you use the seasons? If it's plain it will taste wild and the texture will be bad. I tried to relax it before I killed it. If the meat was tense then it would strain at the grain." He wasnt sure how or where he had learned all this but he knew it well. As if he had hunted countless times like before. Maybe in a life before this one he was a king of archer or hunter. Glow's skill was very well polished. He took out a blade and started to crave the meat for them both. There was enough here to make a bacon slab for the morning. Glow had seen a few Quell nests nearby. It would be a decent breakfast to start their day with. "...Ever had a mate or a family, Dragon?" It was good to start a conversation. Small talk wasnt all that bad.

The dragon snorted in reply to the seasoning comment, it had spread some onto the meat before seating it over the fire to cook. He looked at Glow with an odd expression, reaching up to run a hand through his own hair. "No I haven't, I don't think... I don't recall" he said this as he looked up at the sky and let his eyes slide closed. He listened to the crackle of the flames as they continued to dance in the fire pit. His eyes opened and he watched Glow carve the meat for consumption. Normally he would eat his meat raw but he had no idea what that would do to the other, so he cooked it. He liked the way it smelled a great deal.

For a little while he had sat there silence being the only thing between the two men as they sat there. Glow looked at the flames and heard the sounds of the forest wold life as it seemed to come to life when the sky grew darker still. It was still and calm now. He looked to Dragon and then frowned. he too could not recall if he had a mate or next of kin himself. It was a very sad existence for him. but he was sure if they tracked down the dragon's spear then they would more than likely uncover something about his past. Perhaps this was the wrong thing to have asked him? "...Sorry. I am not too good with small talk."

He shook his head, watching the other man's face. "No, it is fine I have never given much thought to it. In fact I probably would have never thought about it if you hadn't asked. So to me, that's a good thing. ", He spoke quietly as his tail reached over and wrapped around Glow, hugging him gently. "Don't let it worry ya too much, it will all be fine once we start traveling some more, you will see, we are gunna have a lotta adventures and things will be right as rain in no time." He offered a warm grin as he reached out for a piece of meat.

"True. I still wonder nonetheless." He said this and then handed big chunks of the meat on the wood to Dragon. The meat smelled great. After he took the meat he then cut his portion and ate it. It was really hot but tasted very good with the season rub. "This is good."

"S'not bad to wonder about something like that." He ate the meat with a vigor his eyes closing. He let his tail sway from side to side and he stared at Glow. He reached out to grab another piece of meat, eating it quietly. "It is, glad you got it, it's real big n tastes real nice" He agreed as he gobbled down as much as would fit in his claws.

Glow nodded as he ate in silence. he was not much for words at the moment but he felt like everything was coming around just fine. The Dragon had added just enough seasons to make the meal decent. it was a shame they did not have more to make a full meal. But at the moment this would do. Glow looked down at the kindling fire and its dancing flames. The colors moving around soothed him and then he lay back on the cool grass. he tucked his dark hands underneath his head while he stared up at the night sky that was slowly growing darker by the minute. "The food was nice."

He nodded, gaze shifting from the food to the sky. He rubbed his belly, full on the meat he reached in to grip some more. He leaned back on his elbows to bite his bottom lip. "It was real good, coulda been better, we can get some more stuff to put with the food next time if ya like?" he said this as he ran a hand through his own hair. Hair fanned out around him like water he closed his eyes and thought about the different things nature could provide them for side dishes. His hand lazily reached over to plop more meat into his mouth he ate it without a word. He looked at Glow after his eyes opened for a moment and laid down flat on his back. His meat juice soaked hand held up in the air as if he was reaching for the darkening skies above.

Times have changed. Here he sat in the dark in front of the campfire staring up at the stars. His eyes seem to flutter while he looked up at the sky. His head turned to the right to stare at the dragon next to him. Glow gave him a very weak smile. It was very nice that they both were going to travel together, that gave him hope for his future. This meant that overtime he would create new memories with this particular person and with them he would actually build his own life. However, for right now he had to start on his Adventure tomorrow. Maybe then things will change. It did not take very long for glow to close eyes and fall asleep and to a very deep and peaceful slumber. His mind left him without dreams for that night so he slept soundly without much complaint with his body. He was not sure if the dragon would put out the fire in the evening or if it would burn out on its own. He did not give it much thought. The sun rose the next day and with it the night had faded away and the nature of the daylight. Come out. The sun's rays Shone brightly through the tree limbs.

The dragon squashed the flames with his back foot, eyes closing as he drifted off to sleep not long after the other man. His own sleep was filled with vivid images that he would never recall once he awoke. When the sunlight radiated down onto their forms he woke up with a slow stretch and a low yawn. His eyes trained on the now gone fire within the firepit, he looked at Glow. "We should get moving, daylight only lasts so long even when it's first started." He smiled as he spoke getting up to let his tail sway in the morning air. He was content for a long while as he sat down and rubbed his hands together before rubbing his face. He lumbered over to a stream and repeated the process as he washed his face with a deep grunt.
